This seal pup was enjoying exploring his neighborhood and splashing in a rocky pool while Mom
was off somewhere else.
Generally, the seals ignored tourists and went about their business.

The two species are sea lions and fur seals. When we arrived in November, there were
many mothers with pups. A few lucky snorkelers (not us) enjoyed swimming with some playful seals.
