Young frigatebirds remain on their nests for many months.

Adult frigate birds are very acrobatic in the air, frequently stealing food from boobies and other birds. During the mating season, the male Magnificent Frigatebird develops a bright red inflated sac beneath his beak.

The young waved albatross also spends many months just sitting on the nest and is larger than an adult albatross.

Adult albatrosses are very awkward on land.
