There are two types of iguanas: marine and land iguanas. The marine iguanas are notable
because not only do they swim, but also because they eat algae in the ocean. They have a
special gland to expel excess salt, which often gives the tops of their head a white,
crusted appearance, and they are often seen "sneezing" salt. Marine iguanas are basically
black in color but often develop additional red and green coloration. Its tail is
flattened vertically and is used for swimming.
The land iguana is tan in color and has a rounded tail.
